The Gless Ranch has been cultivating citrus fruits in the Woodcrest area of Riverside, California for nearly 60 years now. Founded by John J. Gless and his wife Janet McCandless in 1958, the company began with a small orange grove on leased land near El Toro, California. The Glesses envisioned growing citrus in an area deemed unsuitable for commercial farming at the time. Over the years, they have expanded their operations to include several other properties, including "Number 1" and "Number 2" orange groves, as well as a market and equipment shop that has become a staple of the local community. Today, the Gless Ranch is still family-owned and operated, with Janet's son Jeff serving as its current president.
