The group represents 10,000 family farmers across 11 states who raise sugarbeets on approximately 1.1 million acres, with eight separate farmer-owned cooperatives owning 20 factories that process sugar from sugarbeets for national and food security purposes. These businesses account for over 100,000 rural jobs annually and contribute significantly to the U.S. economy through $13.4 billion in annual revenue.
