The Family Court of East Baton Rouge Parish is located on the fourth floor of the Nineteenth Judicial District Courthouse in downtown Baton Rouge and presides over various matters including divorces, community property division, spousal support and child custody. Having an attorney can be beneficial but The Family Court also offers self-help resources to assist individuals who cannot afford a lawyer. The court provides language access services, interpreters, and disability accommodations for all participants.
