The Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program (BHCHP) provides critical healthcare services and emergency response for Boston’s unsheltered community. Recognizing the extreme vulnerability of homeless individuals during the pandemic, BHCHP collaborated with partners to protect this population from COVID-19.

The program rapidly shifted operations, including managing testing for over 1,700 individuals and transforming facilities into specialized care units. By providing vital services, such as specialized testing and creating safe isolation spaces, BHCHP ensured the safety and well-being of those most at risk. Supported by generous partnerships and grants, the organization continues its lifesaving work, demonstrating unwavering commitment to the health of the homeless community.
