Family Health Center (FHC) is an innovative community health center established in 1992 to provide essential primary medical, dental, and mental health services. FHC focuses on improving the health of the community, particularly serving uninsured and underinsured families in Boone County who previously lacked access to care.

FHC offers an affordable "medical home" experience, providing quality care close to home rather than relying on emergency rooms. Supported by major partners including hospitals and the University School of Medicine, the center trains future healthcare providers. As a grantee and deemed Public Health Service employee, FHC ensures non-discriminatory, high-quality service for all community members.
