Praxis Housing Initiatives NYC, Hope for the Homeless, provides essential housing and case management to chronically homeless individuals. We operate the Praxis Third Ave Shelter, temporarily housing 58 adult families from CB6 and surrounding Brooklyn communities.

Our mission is to bring sustainable transformation by providing clean, safe housing and support services, including case management and nutritious meals. We assist clients facing complex needs, such as HIV/AIDS, mental illness, addiction, disabilities, and domestic violence history.

Praxis utilizes a low-threshold approach, empowering clients to plan their futures. Our family-based staff ensures every client receives holistic support, leading to recovery, stability, and independence. We are committed to reducing recidivism and transforming lives through dedicated care.
