Recycled Reads: Sustainable Reading for Austin

Recycled Reads is dedicated to sustainability by collecting discarded material and public donations, which are then sold, recycled, or repurposed, with all proceeds benefiting the Austin Public Library.

We welcome donations of printed or recorded items (excluding magazines, e-readers, and tablets). To ensure staff safety, please donate items in sturdy bags or boxes. For bulk donations (over 10 boxes), please schedule an appointment by calling (512) 974-7460.

Beyond recycling, explore our upcycled art gallery featuring creative pieces made from repurposed materials like old sheet music and maps. Visit us to support the library and become a volunteer!
