Tatanya Peterson shares her family's genealogy and history at the Historic Haile Homestead, a unique property with "Talking Walls" that tells stories of enslaved laborers and freedmen from 1854 to present day. Volunteers are sought for docent positions leading tours of the house and staff the Allen & Ethel Graham Visitors Center and Museum to share this community's history with the public. With an application and training required, members must be part of Historic Haile Homestead Inc., a non-profit organization funded by Visit Gainesville and Alachua County, FL, for annual memberships starting at $25 per calendar year.
